Homeschool Platform LLC (“Homeschool Platform,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to responsible data practices. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information when you use homeschoolplatform.com, affiliated websites, hosted client websites, portals, software tools, applications, dashboards, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide directly to us, information collected automatically through your use of the Services, and information received from authorized third parties.
This may include:
- name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and contact details;
- organization, school, co-op, microschool, PSP, umbrella school, or business information;
- account credentials and profile information;
- billing and subscription-related information;
- support inquiries, communications, and correspondence;
- information submitted through forms, registrations, hosted systems, dashboards, or websites;
- browser type, device information, IP address, operating system, and usage data;
- analytics, cookies, and similar tracking technologies;
- login records, timestamps, audit logs, and security-related activity; and
- other information voluntarily provided to us.
Payment card information is generally processed directly by third-party payment providers and is not stored by Homeschool Platform except as necessary for limited transaction records, integrations, or operational purposes.
How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, support, and improve the Services;
- create and manage accounts;
- process subscriptions, invoices, and payments;
- provide customer service and technical support;
- communicate regarding updates, purchases, billing, onboarding, and service notices;
- personalize user experience and improve website functionality;
- maintain security and detect fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity;
- troubleshoot technical issues;
- analyze traffic, trends, and usage patterns;
- maintain backups, audit logs, and operational records;
- comply with legal obligations; and
- enforce our Terms, agreements, and policies.
We do not use student data for advertising purposes or AI model training.
We may create aggregated or de-identified information about how the Services are used, such as feature usage and performance metrics, to operate, secure, and improve the Services. This information does not identify organizations or individuals and is not used for advertising.
Transactional Communications
Homeschool Platform may send automated transactional communications necessary for operation of the Services, including account notifications, registration confirmations, enrollment updates, password resets, billing notices, onboarding communications, application notifications, enrollment workflow communications, and other service-related messages.
These communications are considered part of the Services and are not marketing communications.
Information Sharing
We may share information when reasonably necessary to operate our business and provide the Services, including with:
- hosting and infrastructure providers;
- payment processors;
- communication and email service providers;
- security, spam-prevention, and error-monitoring services;
- analytics providers;
- software vendors and integrations;
- contractors, consultants, developers, or support personnel;
- professional advisors; and
- legal, regulatory, or governmental authorities when required by law.
We may disclose and transfer information, including customer, family, and student records, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction. Organizations using our Services agree to that transfer. Any successor must be bound by privacy commitments at least as protective as this Privacy Policy and our Data Processing Addendum, and we will notify affected organizations.
We do not sell personal information.
Payment Processing
Certain Services may allow organizations to connect their own third-party payment processor accounts, including Stripe Connect accounts or similar integrations.
In such cases:
- the organization remains the merchant of record for its own transactions;
- payment transactions are processed directly through the organization’s connected payment account;
- Homeschool Platform does not receive, hold, or custody customer payment funds; and
- payment card information is processed directly by the applicable payment provider.
Use of third-party payment providers is subject to those providers’ own terms, policies, and privacy practices.
Hosted Client Websites and Organizations
Homeschool Platform hosts websites, dashboards, and systems for independent organizations such as homeschool co-ops, support groups, academies, microschools, umbrella schools, PSPs, and related communities.
Those organizations may collect information through their own websites, registrations, forms, dashboards, portals, or systems hosted through our platform.
In such cases, the client organization is generally responsible for:
- its own privacy notices and disclosures;
- obtaining required permissions or consent;
- determining what information is collected;
- responding to user data requests;
- determining data retention practices; and
- complying with laws applicable to its operations.
Homeschool Platform acts solely as a technology and infrastructure provider for such organizations.
Homeschool Platform does not market to, solicit, or contact the families, students, or members of client organizations. Messages they receive through the Services are sent on the organization’s behalf, even when they come from a Homeschool Platform email address or a website on a Homeschool Platform web address. The only exceptions are automated transactional messages needed to operate their accounts, such as password resets and sign-in or security notices. Each organization is responsible for informing its families about matters affecting their records, including if it stops using the Services or closes.
Organizations may choose to add analytics, such as Google Analytics or Plausible, to websites hosted through our platform. When they do, the website asks each visitor for consent first, and the analytics tool loads only for visitors who accept. The organization is responsible for its choice of analytics provider and for that provider’s use of the information.
Organizations retain ownership of their customer, family, parent, student, enrollment, attendance, assignment, transcript, and organizational data. Homeschool Platform acts as a data processor on behalf of such organizations for the purpose of providing the Services.
Children’s and Student Information
Homeschool Platform primarily provides business, infrastructure, and organizational services intended for adults, administrators, and organizations.
Where organizations collect or process information relating to children or students through hosted systems, those organizations are responsible for obtaining any required parental consent and complying with applicable child privacy laws.
We do not knowingly market directly to children.
Where applicable, organizations using the Services are responsible for obtaining any required parental notices, consents, or authorizations relating to student or child information under applicable laws, including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).
Homeschool Platform does not knowingly use student data for behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, or AI model training purposes.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes, including:
- account administration;
- service delivery;
- backups and disaster recovery;
- audit logs and security monitoring;
- dispute resolution;
- compliance obligations; and
- enforcement of agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information and applicable obligations.
An organization’s authorized account administrator may request an export of eligible organizational data during an active subscription or within 30 calendar days after the paid subscription period ends, as described in our Terms of Use. The 30-day period does not begin when a cancellation request is submitted.
Organizations remain responsible for maintaining any records required under applicable laws or organizational policies.
Data Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information.
Security measures may include:
- managed hosting environments;
- SSL encryption;
- access controls;
- authentication protections;
- monitoring and logging systems;
- backups; and
- commercially reasonable security practices.
However, no platform, website, database, transmission method, or internet-based service is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
We log and monitor activity on the Services, including IP addresses, devices, and requests, to detect and investigate unauthorized access and attacks, and we may share that information with law enforcement.

Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights relating to certain personal information, including rights to request:
- access;
- correction;
- deletion;
- restriction;
- portability; or
- objection to certain processing activities.
To submit a request, contact us using the information below. We may take reasonable steps to verify identity before responding.
If you are a parent, guardian, student, or other member of an organization that uses our Services, that organization controls your records. Please send requests about those records to the organization. If you contact us, we will refer your request to the organization, and we will assist the organization as required by law.
U.S. State and International Privacy Rights
Residents of certain U.S. states or other jurisdictions may have additional privacy rights under applicable law.
Where legally required, we will honor qualifying requests in accordance with applicable laws.
Homeschool Platform Services are intended primarily for organizations operating within the United States.
If you access the Services from outside the United States, information may be transferred to and processed within the United States or other jurisdictions where our providers operate.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, software, payment processors, communication tools, plugins, or services. Websites hosted through our platform may also load fonts from third-party font services, which receive the visitor’s IP address when a page loads.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, availability, security, or policies of third parties.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Updated versions become effective when posted unless otherwise stated.
Your continued use of the Services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
